At Potomac College we know that your time is valuable. Our eighteen-month Junior and Senior level program allows you to earn a Bachelor of Science Degree Program in Accounting, International Business, Government Contract Management, Management, or Information Systems simply by attending classes on Saturday or two evenings each week.
At Potomac College it is possible to earn six credits every six weeks. Students are able to balance their jobs and families while earning a valuable degree. The credits earned in your degree program include a perfect balance of theory and theoretical application courses. The skills learned in the classroom are put to practical use in the work setting with each course. The Capstone provides an opportunity for the student to integrate and apply several areas of theory in the final academic project.
General Education and Elective Courses
Potomac College also offers General Education and Elective Courses for academic requirements in both Associate of Science and Bachelor of Science degree programs. Previous college work, corporate/military training, and/or college equivalency exams may be used by the student to complete requirements in the student’s academic program.
Interactive Learning Environment
Adults have different lifestyles and learning styles than most college age students. Here at Potomac College we recognize this difference and work diligently to enhance the adult learning process. Our carefully crafted curriculum emphasizes participatory learning through student discussions, case studies, and team projects, all of which encourage students to be active learners rather than passive listeners.
Every aspect of our curriculum—including the classroom setup—is constructed to facilitate the interactive learning process. In the classroom, students are taught to develop and master technical as well as professional skills and to gain critical thinking tools necessary in today’s competitive job market.
