Potomac College is currently accredited by Middle States Commission on Higher Education and is authorized or licensed to operate in: Washington, DC, Virginia, and Arizona.  Potomac will continue to monitor developments in state laws in each state in which it enrolls students and, if authorization or licensure is or becomes necessary, will obtain such additional approvals.

The State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV)

Potomac College's Branch campus, located at 2070 Chain Bridge Rd, Vienna, VA, 20107, is certified by The State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (James Monroe Building, 101 North Fourteenth Street, Richmond, VA 23219: 804.255.2600) to operate in Virginia.

The State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV) makes higher education public policy recommendations to the Governor and General Assembly in such areas as capital and operating budget planning, enrollment projections, institutional technology needs, and student financial aid. SCHEV administers a variety of educational programs that benefit students, faculty, parents, and taxpayers. SCHEV serves as a catalyst to promote greater access, quality, affordability, and accountability throughout the system. SCHEV also helps policymakers, college administrators, and other concerned leaders work cooperatively and constructively to advance educational excellence.

Arizona State Board for Private Postsecondary Education (AZPPSE)

 
Potomac College’s Online Administrative Office, located at 2141 E. Highland Avenue, Phoenix, AZ  85016, is licensed by the Arizona State Board for Private Postsecondary Education.

The Arizona State Board for Private Postsecondary Education licenses and regulates private postsecondary educational institutional operating vocational and degree programs.  The Agency’s goals are to ensure legal operations, ethical practices and quality education in the private postsecondary sector.
