Transfer Credits

The following are acceptable sources of transfer credit

• Credits awarded by a nationally or regionally accredited college or university.

• Satisfactory scores on nationally recognized college equivalency examinations.

• Completion of non-scholastic courses evaluated by the American Council on Education (ACE).

• Military training as evaluated by ACE/PONSI.

• Credit awarded for experiential learning as documented by portfolio and evaluated for college credit by an accredited institution.

Please note that Computer Science courses completed more than 10 years ago cannot be transferred into the Potomac College program. At the discretion of the Dean, courses in other disciplines may also be denied. In addition, students wishing to transfer from overseas institutions will need to have their credit assessed by an outside evaluator at their own expense.
