International Business

This program consists of wide focused international business degree courses as well as related business subjects and general studies. The program is intended to provide students with those competencies desirable for positions in global firms and likewise challenging positions in private, governmental and nonprofit organizations. Our International Business Degree program is offered in our Washington DC campu as well as our Herndon Virginia campus.

At Potomac College, we are an accredited college with an International Business Degree Program that will equip students for graduate study in fields leading to advanced degrees in international affairs. Students develop expertise in information technology while pursuing a thorough program of international business. Combining the virtues of rigorous preparation in business strategies and skills in an international context with a solid liberal arts basis contribute to the formation of a successful businessperson. The program includes base courses that deal with the explicit areas of business as practiced in a complex and developing international economy.

Incorporating a liberal arts approach to the disciplines of politics and cultural interrelationships as the program surveys the dynamics of an interdependent global business environment. The major focus is upon the international economic, historical, political, and cultural foundations of today's world business climate, key multinational business functions, and the overall operational/strategic management of a corporation in a multicultural environment.
