Technical School - Potomac College Financial Aid Checklist
- FAFSA – Free Application for Federal Student Aid: The
FAFSA is the information form that is used to determine eligibility for
the Pell Grant and the Stafford Loan programs. Students are encouraged
to complete this form when they meet with one of our Financial Aid
officers. Click on the FAFSA link on the last screen to begin the
process and/or to have additional financial aid application questions
answered.
- Credit Balance Authorization: The Credit Balance
Authorization form indicates how the student wants Potomac College to
manage a credit balance that may occur as a result of federal financial
aid funds. This form must be signed, dated and submitted with the FAFSA.
- Income Verification: Be aware that some FAFSA
documents are randomly selected for the verification of income
information. For each selected FAFSA, a Verification Worksheet must be
completed, signed, and submitted to the Potomac College Financial Aid
Office along with a signed copy of the student’s (and spouse’s or
parents’, if applicable) federal tax return(s). Students are notified
if their FAFSA is selected for verification. No funds will be disbursed
prior to the receipt of a signed verification worksheet and federal
income tax returns.
