ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Potomac College accepts qualified Chinese High School graduates into its freshman classes. Transfer students may enter with up to 90 approved course credits from an accredited Chinese institution of higher education. Potomac College accepts student TOEFL/IELTS scores or Clarewood English Proficiency Examination (CEPE) scores approved by Potomac’s China Program and the Clarewood Institute. Potomac College may offer conditional admissions to students who need to improve their English skills at Potomac College before entering college-level programs. Applicants must provide documentation of financial support. The professional staff of the Clarewood/Potomac China Program will work with you through the visa interview process.

TUITION AND FEES

The annual tuition is $10,680 for an academic year of 24 credits toward a degree program. The Application Fee is an additional cost. Please be advised that the tuition and application fee DO NOT include fees for visa application, housing, meals, health insurance, textbooks, airfares, etc.

RECRUITMENT

Potomac College has an exclusive agreement with The Clarewood Institute. The Clarewood Institute is your personal representative to Potomac College. Clarewood will sign agreements with authorized recruiters/universities and collect tuition and fees from students or agencies in China on behalf of Potomac College. The Clarewood staff will assist with your transcript review and evaluation for admission to Potomac. Clarewood China Program Professional administer your English language examination and evaluate your English language proficiency.

Potomac College's China Program is located at its Washington DC campus. However, the Clarewood /Potomac College China Program offers a wide variety of services through its offices in Beijing, Jinan, Nanning and other cities. The Clarewood staff specializes in recruitment, communications with government agencies, interview coordination, networking with authorized universities, the U.S. Embassy and & consulates for visa application assistance.

PAYMENT

Clarewood simplifies the payment process. Tuition can be paid to the Clarewood Institute or to Potomac College. It is required that the one-year tuition of $10680 be paid in full to the Clarewood Institute or Potomac College at least 15 days prior to your entry into the United States. Please note that the first year’s tuition and fees for this program are non-refundable.

ENGLISH TRAINING PROGRAM

Students whose score with the Clarewood English Proficiency Examination (CEPE) is below 70 or whose TOEFL score is below 500 are required to attend English language classes at Potomac College at a tuition rate of $1,200 per month.

HOUSING

The China Program at Potomac College does NOT arrange housing but will provide housing information. The Clarewood Institute may be able to assist at student's expense.

BOOKS

The cost of books are the responsibility of students.
